  • Extra! Extra! Help Us Show It!

    Funded Sep 8, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation towards our color printer, ink, laminating pouches and paper! This has been so helpful into giving our students the opportunity to create posters and comic strips as a way to display their work. It also has allowed us teachers, to print word wall cards, posters and other informational posters around our classroom in a way that is colorful and welcoming to our students.

Students are so excited to be able to print their own work. The first few days has brought them so much excitement and the ability to print their work is making them motivated to produce more.

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Littlefield

  • Keeping in Touch with Reality!

    Funded Dec 14, 2015

Thank you again for your overwhelming generosity! We have received our first two issues of Time For Kids and my students are already so overly excited. Students participated in close reading of an article on Forensic Science Detectives and their search to defend endangered species. The whole class participated in a Socratic Seminar discussion in which we needed to figure out our own ways to protect these animals. Students could not believe that they will receive these exciting articles across a variety of topics every week for the rest of the school year! I am sincerely thankful to you all for helping bring back an excitement for reading in my classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Littlefield

  • Teaching With Technology!

    Funded Jan 4, 2015

Words cannot express how thankful I am for your generous donations. My students have really enjoyed the computer. They have been able to read stories and answer questions based on their reading on the computer. I have been able to design engaging lessons more easily that allow the students to become more involved in their own learning. I have created fun interactive games such as Jeopardy, to review for Social Studies tests. My students are loving the new computer and are really enjoying having an extra resource in our classroom. Again, my sincerest thanks for your generosity!”

  • Printing our Pride!

    Funded Dec 6, 2013

As soon as our printer arrived, the box was delivered to my classroom, and my students were immediately cheering. They were so excited that we finally had a printer for our classroom. I overheard them saying things like, "I hope our table gets to print first" and "I can't wait to type my article!"

We have already started printing out pictures and motivational posters for around our classroom. I also have printed out great color coded math vocabulary words for students to be able to see from anywhere in our classroom. This printer has just made life so much easier for both myself and my students. There will be no more running to staples during lunch for me.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Littlefield

  • Support Our Love of Learning!

    Funded Sep 2, 2013

My students were so completely thrilled to see and use the new IPad in our classroom! They are constantly asking when we will use it again and they are so eager to learn when it is their turn to use it. The IPad is used practically everyday. My students are able to stay engaged with their partner when working on the IPad. We have downloaded many fun apps that support both their site word fluency and their multiplication facts. We also have downloaded apps that let students create and design their own characters and write a story about them. We can not thank you enough for your overwhelming generosity! You have truly made a difference =)”

  • A Love Of Learning!

    Funded Nov 15, 2011

Words cannot fully thank you for the generous gift you have given to both myself and my students. I try my best to make my classroom a community where students can feel comfortable and at home. Your donation helps me make it possible. The pillows are a wonderful way for students to spread out around the classroom and really enjoy reading in a comfortable space of their own.

As always new books in our classroom library is a necessity. It is sometimes hard to keep students fire for reading burning because we do not always have enough materials to support it.

I thank you again for being so kind!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Littlefield

  • Liberate Us with a Library!

    Funded Feb 8, 2011

My class and I are so grateful for such wonderful people in the world like you. The books you have donated to our class really is inspiring not just for reading but to show my students what wonderful people there are in the world.

We try and read every single day and often it is difficult to keep students interested with limited materials. With you generous contribution my students can now enjoy books and be able to study a character across an entire series, which is so integral at this stage of their learning and reading.

    Our deepest thanks to you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Littlefield

  • Reading Rockets Need a Larger Library!

    Funded Oct 19, 2010

Words cannot express my absolute gratitude for your generosity to my students! Your donation has been such an amazing help to not only the organization of my classroom but to the independence of my students. Each and every day I walk in and feel relieved that my students have the opportunity to that you have given them to go into a classroom that is set up for them. A classroom library that fosters independence for them.

Your donation has really been such a help and such an amazing addition to our classroom!

    Thanks so much :)”

  • Independent Learning

    Funded Oct 21, 2010

I want to take this opportunity to send you my sincerest gratitude for all that you have done for our classroom. Although it may seem like just a simple classroom organizer it has made a world of a difference in my second grade class.

The students in my class love to play math games and work independently and your simple donation has really helped to accomplish that for my students. We use the drawers every single day and every single day I am grateful that my students can readily and easily access their materials.

Thank you again for all that you do!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Littlefield

My students are the most wonderful 2nd graders I have ever met. They are the top class in a NYC Public School and they just LOVE to read. The push themselves everyday to try their best and work their hardest. Unfortunately being in a public school it is not always the easiest to get more materials into the classroom.
