Our junior high students are thirteen and fourteen years old and many English Language Learners. They enjoy learning with stories and projects. They have been taking care of a pond ecosystem this year, and Steven Rinella's story ties into our project in a big way. Our school is a Title One school. Part of the science unit is to study ecosystems. This guest speaker will show the students that one person can make a difference by standing up for trees which are the foundation of many ecosystems.
