  • Musical Summer Here We Come!

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

I can't believe the end of the school year is upon us! It has been a wild 2023-2024 school year. The children are eager for the weather to get warmer as are the teachers. We are practicing for our end of the year celebration singing songs about spring and summer. Our students are so excited about the microphones and can't wait for the opportunity to sing in them. In a few short weeks we will have families join us to have an ice cream celebration where our preschoolers will get to sing songs to their families with their microphones and sunglasses. I once again want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful contribution to our end of the year celebration.”

  • Bringing Stories to Life: Part 3

    Funded Jun 2, 2023

Our students this year are just starting to learn about the wonderful world of tonies and all the amazing stories that come with it. We have recently started introducing it after snack time and as a way to wait for the rest of their friends to finish up eating. They love all the different characters especially the Paw Patrol friends they are familar with. We also have been enjoying The Lion Inside. Many of our families speak English as a second language and sometimes struggle with stories. They love this way of being able to listen to the stories and go home and share with their families about the stories. I am so grateful for wonderful donors like you.”

  • Preschool Snacks!

    Funded Nov 13, 2023

We are so grateful for your wonderful donation of snacks to our classroom. The children were so excited to help me open the boxes and see what we would be having in our classroom coming up. Their favorite snack so far has been the pretzels and apple sauce. We have been allowing our friends to take turns picking out the snack daily and they are so excited when its their turn. Many of our friends come to school with hungry bellies and this is a wonderful opportunity to make sure that they are full and ready to learn. I could not teach in this ever changing world without wonderful donors like you.”

  • Spin Again!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

I can not even begin to describe the enjoyment that is had with this chair! Our students love the ability to spin themselves around and help regulate their bodies. One student in particular has been able to spend more time near the large group during our circle time thanks to this chair. He was a little uneasy at first but when he figured out how the chair worked he was so excited and now requests it with his visuals. Currently our classroom is talking about families and all that goes into a family. The weather will soon be getting colder in MN and we will start talking about winter/gingerbread friends. I once again want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

    Ms. Fogel

The materials requested above will help not only the students receiving special education services in my classroom but all of the students within the classroom. Sensory input is a very important part of learning in early development. Many students don't always get the opportunity to experience things that are considered "messy", these experiences will stick with them for a lifetime. My students are primarily students receiving special education services and would benefit greatly from the items that will follow their educational journey for years to come! The sit spots to give them a sense of where their body needs to be during group time. The sensory table items such as the water bubbles would a great learning experience for learning letters in their name and counting skills.
