Historically I have read the very Hungry Caterpillar to my students and have only been able to show them pictures of the process. This activity will enable my students with the opportunity to experience the stages and steps we read about in the Story "The very Hungry Caterpillar. Due to the limited space and resources in addition to the butterfly nursery the students need a space to monitor, observe and tract the Mentamorphosis of the caterpillar. The children would be able to observe the life cycle of a caterpillar inter the stage of a butterfly and see the butterflies in flight as we set them free.
