    Our kids have been using the rugs during mini lessons, the wobble chairs throughout the day and the small group desk during partner time and small group instruction. The flexible seating has helped children remain seated and focused throughout the day.

    When the children first saw the materials they were so excited and have been extra helpful and respectful in order to earn a "spinning chair" ever since! It has become accepted as something of a reward rather than a special accommodation for children who had trouble remaining seated or focusing.

    We look forward to further accommodating their special needs in the least restrictive environment in the future.

My students are a beautiful combination of ELL's, (Emergent, Transitioning, Expanding) as well as special needs, and mainstream. They all have diverse learning styles and require a multi-sensory approach to meet their needs. A color printer and toner will support us in producing engaging materials for all the children to aid them as they learn and progress. Cushioned swivel chairs will offer them much needed sensory breaks. In my classroom we have leveled readers for beginning second grade levels. I also need books for my ELLs in their foreign language and engaging materials to support their lack of comprehension in English (because it is their second language).
