Play and Express Yourself

Thank you for your generosity. The new resources have made a huge impact with my students. The doll house has become a focal point of my office. It was pretty amazing seeing the students faces the first day they came in and saw the dollhouse set up. All of my students from Kindergarten though fifth grade responded with wonderment over the dollhouse.

Students were also so pleased to see all the new games. There was a feeling of joy and excitement amongst them.

The dollhouse and dolls have been a wonderful way for students to practice social skills particularly around how to manage conflicts with friends. One particular second grade group has been using the dolls and doll house to role playing scenarios on difficult situations they have had at recess and through play are practicing different ways to handle these situations.

The new games are providing all of my groups opportunities to practice compromising, turn taking and winning or losing gracefully.
