Card Making in the Classroom!

Funded Jan 17, 2024

Class 401 has been hard at work creating projects! . We are not a title one school and therefore we don't receive any extra funding. It's always wonderful to have the resources to do those extra things that add on to our curriculum.

We have been using the paper in all subject areas. We have used the colorful paper to publish our writing pieces. We have also used the paper for our bulletin boards. We went on a trip to the oldest house in New York City! After the trip, we wrote about our experience using the colorful card stock that we received through Donors Choice.

Throughout the day the students earn stamps. This tradition has fostered a love of rubber stamps. The children always look forward to what stamp will be used today. Because of this daily activity, the students asked if we could use stamps for other things. We explained that stamps can be used to create cards. We have used the stamps to crate cards for different events and occasions. We have even tied some of the stamping into our stories that we have read this school year. Our favorite story so far was entitled,"The Beatles were Fab" The stamp that read,"All you need is love" was by far our class favorite!”

With gratitude,
