Most schools are very good about getting supplies for the ELA and Math classes. Students need the hands on, inquiry experiments that science class provides. Unfortunately this is the aspect of the school day that tends to be left out of the budget. Students thrive when they solve a science experiment. It builds their confidence in both science and other subjects, and it encourages students to work independently to solve a problem. Inquiry based learning also carries over into other subjects. Students need this type of learning tucked into each day. Please help me supply my girls with science materials that will keep on giving all year long.
