  • What the Tornado Tore Apart, We WILL Make Better!

    Thank you so much for helping to fund my project. My student-athletes were so thrilled to hear the news when the email arrived. They have missed playing soccer at our old high school site since the F3 tornado destroyed our school. Having this soccer equipment will allow them to continue training in a safe and enjoyable environment. I haven't even told them about the specific training equipment that we got. I can barely wait to see their faces when they see all the soccer goals, soccer-tennis nets, & the super cool Skillz Rebounder. They will be over the moon with excitement.”

With this up-to-date technology many of my girls will be able to analyze game film on their own time via the team account page that we use for the school soccer programs. This is essential because in order to achieve player development, my girls need the opportunity to self-assess themselves. During our team film study sessions, we highlight the desired player actions done well in games and discuss what to avoid as well. There are many ways kids learn: they learn by listening and by being shown, but they learn most by doing. Involving kids and showing them you care for their own development is a very powerful tool that this technological equipment will help us attain.

About my class
