I teach low income ESL students who are made up of mainly refugee students. They are excited to learn English and have little to no help at home. I want to create a relaxing environment where they can sit alone or partner read nonfiction materials and learn about our life in America and help them dream and get motivated about their successful academic future. Scholastic News will give them a wonderful head start and these seats will help them feel at home! I will continue to build my library for these aspiring young student minds in my first grade class!
