Elementary students are challenged with long strenuous days and very little time to play. So what does a teacher do with tired and burned out students? We find a way to incorporate learning while having fun at the same time! STEM activities can save the day! These Stem approved materials will help my students create and design products - Building with Young Architects Design kits, Building blocks, Design and Building Engineering centers, Mighty Monkey Pegs and Pegboard will help discover alternate ways to find answers to questions, all while collaborating with their peers. Keeping areas neat and clean is also a big concept in Kindergarten. As a teacher, I am obligated to help my students learn to take care of supplies and materials. To help teach my kids responsibility and organization, I'm asking for plastic containers. Large plastic clip containers will help my students learn to build a community of helpers by cleaning up and organizing the materials they are using for the day. After they have created their designs, they will work together to sort their STEM games and place them in the appropriate containers at the end of every lesson and activity!
STEM activities challenge students to build and create their own products.
The materials I am asking for will help students problem solve by building, designing, engineering, and calculating different ways to construct creations. There isn't a better way to design and solve problems by using different types of blocks, tiles, and puzzles.
As a teacher, I want my students to be excited to come to school and I know these STEM activities will do the trick!
