Right now our classroom has books stacked around the room and are not easily accessible to students due to the water damage to the wooden bookshelves from Hurricane Michael. Luckily, we were able to salvage the books, but the shelves soaked up the water and became warped. The worst part was the mold that began to grow on the shelves which led them to being thrown out. We are desperately trying to establish some normalcy for students while they are at school. One way to do that is to get the classroom looking like it did before the storm. The metal bookshelves would help us get organized once again and move forward to returning to normal.
