We Need New Classroom Rugs!
Funded Mar 1, 2019Thank you so much for our new classroom rugs! We love them! This morning, the children came into both classrooms and saw their new rugs for the first time. It felt like Christmas morning! They cheered and jumped up and down! We even kept our shoes off all day...we want to keep it as clean and new for as long as possible!
We have already used our rug for read alouds, independent reading, doing puzzles and block building. Throughout the day, the children made comments such as "It is so cozy!", "It is so clean!", "We have so much more room to move around!". When school staff walked by, they immediately noticed the rug and said how much brighter and cleaner our rooms look.
Our new rugs also offer many teaching opportunities. Our kids are now learning lessons such as taking care of important things, being responsible for cleaning up, and showing respect for our things.
Thank you!

Funded Dec 4, 2016My children face many challenges. However, learning to read and write will help them become successful lifelong learners. My students now have more materials to help them learn through play. The materials I requested help all the children in my classroom learn to read. All children deserve fun and inviting materials.
These hands on materials are helping by making reading fun! My students are more engaged in learning to read because the materials are hands on! The new exciting materials are encouraging the children to go to the literacy centers and be excited about their learning. They love to dig in the sensory bins to find letter, shapes, or numbers! They now can practice forming their letters on a special board just by using their finger! Because of your help, the children are al learning to read through play. Thank you for all your support!”

Help us Learn to Read!
Funded Dec 12, 2011Thank you so much for donating to this project! The children and I were very excited to come back from Christmas break and see all our new center games. These reading and writing centers have helped the children learn to work independently. I am now be able to teach a specific concept to a group of children then send them off the independently practice it using the center activities. The children love the bright colors, hands on materials, and child friendly directions that these center games offer. With the emergent reader set, the students are able to read with me each day in a reading group. Then, the children can bring the books home and read to their families each night. We really appreciate your donations!”

We Need a Classroom Rug!
Funded Dec 5, 2011Thank you so much for donating to this project. My students and I benefit greatly from our new rug. The children love having a defined space to sit on the rug. This helps them focus on the instruction with very little distraction. Coming to the rug to do whole class instruction is now an easy transition. With fewer problems during transition time, the children are becoming more independent learners. The children love listening to stories, doing our morning calendar routine, as well as playing many learning games on our new rug. We are very excited!
Thanks again!”
