  • Saving the Environment

    Funded May 7, 2024

You are helping to make a huge difference in my classroom. A pencil sharpener is such a simple tool, but it’s extremely important to a classroom. It is a time saver like you wouldn’t believe. I no longer have to spend my recess time in the teachers’ lounge sharpening broken pencils. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hildebrand

This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Supporter and one other donor.
  • Don't Sag Our Masterpieces

    Funded Mar 28, 2024

I can not thank you enough! Space in our classroom is limited, making art projects challenging. The drying racks you so generously donated will be put to good use! It’s amazing how something so simple, can make a huge difference in a classroom’s weekly routine. Thank you again for your generous gift! The students of room 20 and I greatly appreciate it!”

  • Bottoms Up

    Funded Aug 16, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation! I may seem like such a small thing, but the kids get really excited about the seat cushions. I love how versatile and sanitary they are compared with a classroom rug. I'm thrilled that every student will now have a cushion of their very own.”

  • Sunshine in My Pocket

    Funded Sep 1, 2022

Thank you so much for pocket charts and pencil boxes for our classroom. I love the different colors. It really helps that the charts are not as wide so we can hang them up on our closet doors. My students are able to see the sight word and vocabulary cards we are using for each language arts theme.

My students really like the colors and how easy it is to read their word cards. This is allowing them to expand their love for reading. Reading is so important, it is an important life skill they will always need. Thank you once again for your kindness and generosity. Words cannot express how I feel.”

Through your generous donation, you are showing my students that so many people care about their education and want them to succeed. Thank you for making all of this possible!”

  • With Flying Colors

    Funded May 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. I am so excited to be able to share the ink toners with my students and their family. With these ink toners, my fellow colleagues from my grade level and I are able to print color worksheets and resources to help our students learn.

At our school, we have English Language Learners, students with disabilities, and students learning Mandarin. These ink toners will allow all our teachers to print flashcards and other instructional materials to help students be more proficient in all academic areas. We will be able to have worksheets for Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts.

We are so grateful for your support in making sure our students have all the resources they need to be successful learners. Thank you for all you do for our students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hildebrand

  • Not Enough Bookshelves

    Funded Dec 16, 2021

We are so grateful for the mobile bookshelf. We are able to categorize our books based on what we are learning for the week or month. I am able to display science books for my students to find easily. The bottom compartments have our book bins that can be placed in small group setting or taken outside for free reading time.

We love the mobility of the bookshelf. It can be rolled to different parts of the classroom for students to have better access. As we return to a little bit of normalcy this school year, we really appreciate the new furniture to make reading more engaging for everyone.

Thank you so much for the generous donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hildebrand

The Chromebooks in my classroom will change the lives of our students. The Chromebooks will be used on a daily basis for a variety of subjects and purposes. I look forward to setting up a technology center where students can access DreamBox and RazKids daily. Both programs have been purchased by the school but we have limited access due to shared time with the technology cart. With students working independently on their Chromebooks, as their teacher, I will be able to facilitate small group instruction with greater frequency. Without enough computers in the classroom and a limited time with the technology cart, it is difficult to make sure each student gets the time they need to spend gaining technological skills. Not only will the Chromebooks be used for typing out their writing, learning how to research, and creating presentations, but they will also learn the foundational skill of navigating through the web. Technology in the classroom is all the more important for our school district at this time. The standardized test based on the Common Core State Standards, called Smarter Balance, will be implemented when they enter 3rd grade. This test is taken on the computer and students will be expected to have these computer skills. If students begin gaining these skills in 1st grade, they will be confident test takers in 3rd grade. Thank you for reading about this very important project to help my students have more exposure to technology and use the Chromebooks in a variety of ways.
