The students will be focusing on creating an ecosystem based on the new vocabulary words learned during class. The students create a full ecosystem using paper, color pencils, etc. Many students need to look up using a computer or laptop which animal is a consumer or producer. Using the Fire tablets will help ensure their success at completing their project by looking up information needed to complete it. In 7th grade, we go into great detail about food webs and ecosystems; students can use the tablets to help better understand the vocabulary words and how the procedure works. In addition, the students can use them for online labs associated with the ecosystem project. These online labs provide the students with a hands-on look into ecosystems.
