Many students do not get the proper hydration they need to grow during the pivotal years of puberty. These teenagers show up to class dehydrated and tired, rendering them less capable of learning as well. The students then go out and run under the Vegas sun as they compete in the likes of Track and Field, Football, and Soccer. Many of our student-athletes suffer from a sickness that can lead to worse issues. The root cause of this is dehydration. All schools come equipped with water fountains. But these fountains are not regularly cleaned, nor is the water filtered. The Las Vegas water supply is very hard and therefore not as good in students' bodies. We are looking for funding to install water bottle fill stations so that students can continue to hydrate all day. Not only are these fil stations good for students, but they are also environmentally friendly and will help our school eliminate plastic waste. By donating to our project, you will be helping improve the health of students and the Earth!
