  • Solving Problems Digitally!!!

    Thank you for you donation. The technology in our classroom facilitates student learning by allowing students to share their work with their peers instantly.

    I can also check for understanding and have flexibility when clearing misconceptions about any concepts.

    My students love being able to have immediate feedback on their problem solving, wether that being a student or teacher example or themselves explaining their thinking process.

    Overall students see when we are using our wireless tablet and are very engaged in the lesson. They love the opportunity to use it and it's something different and new for them which they find very exiting.”

  • The More Interaction, The More Learning!

    First off I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. My students enjoy every moment when they are using their dry-erase boards. I love seeing the smiles on their faces when I instruct them to get the boards. We use our boards to review the letter and syllables of the week, practice our handwriting, and having fun with numbers during math.

    On the day the boards arrived I showed them to my students along with the different ways they can be used and their immediate response was "Can we use the today?"

    In the pictures you can see the variety of topics we have learned and applied using the boards. As I mention in my donors choose project my students are in a dual language program where they build a foundation in Spanish and as they move up each school year to another grade the English language is exposed to them gradually. Their goal is to become fully biliterate and bilingual.

    Currently we are learning about plants in science, 3D shapes in math, the purpose of jobs, and lets not forget reading everyday. I love coming up with fun and interactive ways to incorporate our boards, and my students enjoy every moment and get so competitive when answering questions.

My students love hands on learning, and I strive to incorporate activities that provide this need for them. The easel will allow them to have more opportunities for all to have input in our daily messages. The worst thing for a student is to sit and listen to a lecture or mini lesson without any movement. The customizable whiteboards will allow me to incorporate more hands on and interactive activities. During our mini lessons where we usually sit on the carpet my students are able to do turn and talks, but the whiteboards will allow them to practice their writing and share with their peers. My students will benefit from this because I will be able to provide feedback and praise immediately on whatever they are working on.
