Currently I have 12 laptops. These are wonderful but they limit the options I have as far as station rotations and other fun, engaging activities. These computers will make all the difference in the world to my students. I would love to have enough laptops for half of my class. The additional laptops would mean smaller groups and give kids more access to software that will allow them to become strong readers. They will be able to make Prezis Flipgrids, go on virtual tours with Nearpod and have the world at their fingertips. They will also be able to view my instructional videos for scaffolding. When the students need me to model an activity but I'm with another student, they will be able to watch my on demand step-by-step video as many times as they need to! I would be able to have a teacher led station and a computer station, half way through the class, the students would switch. This station model has been successful in our math classes and I would love to bring it to my language arts class!
