The annual conference of the National Association for the Education of Young Children is a unique opportunity for an early childhood educator to engage with other educators from across the country and learn from those who are at the forefront of research in the field. I am a relatively new teacher, with just one year under my belt, I think it is critical for my development as a professional to continue to learn and push the boundaries of my knowledge. So often people forget that Kindergarten is still early childhood education. My students need the approaches and curriculum that are unique to early childhood education in addition to meeting the academic rigor expected in elementary school. I love my students and this conference will help me serve them to the best of my ability.
