We want to create a safe corner in all of our classrooms. In our safe corner, our students will be able to self-regulate through sensory stress relievers. This is when our students will be using the pop-its as a sensory stress reliever. Mental health and mindfulness are important in our school. Our students are learning about the brain and how we need to listen to our bodies when we are stressed. One way that we can prevent our "lid from being flipped", is by going to our safe corner and practice mindfulness. Our bodies speak to us, we just need to learn how to listen and respond to them.
