    Funded Dec 2, 2018

Thank you all so much for your generosity in helping support me and my students. Because of you, we were able to get the items we needed in record time. I appreciate your contribution and your involvement in the lives of the students I teach every day - every bit helps!”

    Mrs. Casey

An important component of the B.L.P.A. experience is the Senior Class Project. Seniors at B.L. complete a Senior Class Project which is focused on a research paper on a topic of each student’s choice, culminating in a formal presentation to a jury of teachers and peers, and may for some students even include time off from classes to participate in an internship or other fieldwork experience in the professional environment most closely related to the topic of the student’s research. This year, I am asking for school supplies (binders and sheet protectors) to help students organize their research and their source materials for their papers. For most students, this is the first foray into a long-form formal research paper, using independent research and database searching, and I would like to be able to help students stay organized by helping them keep physical, manipulable copies of their rubrics, timelines, source articles, etc. in a binder. By supporting the students, at this final phase of their high school education, we are hoping to prepare them for the academic environment of college classes.
