Anchor charts are a great way to provide students with scaffolds. Our students use personal anchor charts, as we realize that they don't often use the large ones hung around the room. However, my students put the personal ones made for them. It also allows us to differentiate the use of the anchor charts to help us meet the needs of each of our students. Colorful personal anchor charts are a great resource for my students to have a better understanding in mathematics, ELA, science and social studies. This especially true for my students with IEP's. Copies are not easily obtained, and having a printer in the classroom, will make it easier for use to provide our students with what they need.
