Promote Positive Mental Health
Funded Sep 12, 2024The integration of social emotional learning (SEL) materials and art supplies into the educational framework for special needs students is having a transformative impact on their mental health. These resources provide a creative outlet for self-expression, allowing students to explore their emotions in a safe and supportive environment. Through engaging in art projects and SEL activities, students learn valuable skills such as empathy, resilience, and emotional regulation. This holistic approach not only enhances their emotional well-being but also fosters a sense of community and belonging among peers.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the generous donors who made this project possible. Your contributions have enabled us to supply essential materials that empower students to navigate their emotions and build vital social skills. The positive feedback from students and educators alike highlights the profound difference your support has made in their lives. Together, we are nurturing a generation of resilient, confident individuals who are better equipped to face life's challenges. Thank you for being champions of mental health and inclusion in our schools!”
With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org Teen Mental Health Initiative.Help My Students Communicate Effectively
Funded Sep 24, 2019Thank you so much! My students and I are so grateful for your generosity. The iPad and Touch Chat communication application have immensely changed our classroom. The students are able to use the application to express their wants and needs, answer questions, participate in class discussions, and further engage in class lessons.
This iPad and application are most exciting for my non-verbal students. They finally have a voice! They are so much more engaged. They are able to participate much more in class lessons. By using the application, my non-verbal students are able to share their answers to questions, make comments about different topics that we are learning about, and overall express their wants and needs more readily and in a way that is easily understood by all.
There is one particular student who is very bright, but unable to speak. He uses the keyboard on the application to type his thoughts and becomes overjoyed when he hears his words being "said" by the voice output function of the application.
This project has changed the level of education I am able to provide to my students more than I ever imagined possible!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Larsen
