The material in this project will help my children learn about the economic, social, emotional experience of other individuals their age. These books will also provide my students with inspiration through literature. Some resonating experiences and feeling with the characters in the chosen books. Though discussions about the characters and theme (as well as other literary elements, my readers will be enabled to develop a sense of empathy, friendship, kindness, courage, as well as build resilience; Understanding that everyone one has a need to feel a sense of belonging and safety. The material chosen shows that people from different backgrounds, abilities and culture all share aspirations for self betterment. In life there is always a cycle of struggle and triumph. My class will be exposed to the fact that when we apply the correct tools and accessing the appropriate resource can enable one to be victorious. These resources and tools are not just physical but psycho- emotional as well.
