  • Social Emotional Learning

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom project. The materials we received from this project have been instrumental in providing social emotional lessons in the classroom. The students are so engaged with the stories and activities planned to go along with the book. They love the opportunity to use the hands on activities as often as possible. It has also been very beneficial to refer back to different stories we have read in a moment when a student really needs it. For example, when feelings are becoming overwhelming we refer back to the "spots", this gives students the opportunity to make sense of what they are feeling.

Please know you generosity truly makes a difference in our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Garceau

  • Let's Learn!

    Funded Feb 14, 2023

Thank you so much for contributing to this amazing project. The materials purchased have been incredibly helpful in giving my students more opportunities to learn.

Our reading program covers many big topics and these materials have given students additional materials to gather information and have more hands on experiences. The human body model gives a close up view of all the body systems we cover. The additional books about Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison have been instrumental in providing resources for our research project.

Please know you have helped me make my classroom a better place.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Garceau

  • Knowledge is a Seed That Grows When You Read

    Funded Aug 12, 2022

Thank you so much for your extremely generous donations to our classroom project! The students are loving all the new books. I even had some students from last years class come back to borrow some of the new books we received! Having books on topics that interest the students encourages a love of reading. Some of the titles have even pushed students out of their comfort zone and encouraged them to attempt higher leveled texts. Thank you for helping me to encourage a love of reading in our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Garceau

  • Remote Teaching Tools

    Funded Dec 10, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations to complete this product. I am so grateful to have had this project fully funded in such a short amount of time. Having an up to date computer to work with while teaching fully remote has been a complete game changer for myself and my entire class. My students immediately noticed a difference because they could see me much clearer. They also love that they are not waiting for things to load all the time and I can quickly share my screen with them during lessons. I am also able to view and grade assignments much quicker which allows me more time to spend on creating fun and engaging lessons for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Garceau

  • Flexible Seating Fun

    Funded Aug 5, 2020

Thank you so much for all your generous donations! My classroom has been fully remote since the beginning of the year and has not yet had the chance to give the new seats a try. Even with the Covid restrictions in place I am hopeful we will be able to use the seats when we return. I now have a set of 10, so the students will be able to take turns using them weekly so they can be fully sanitized between. It will be a great option for the students because they will be able to use then in their designated space. I am staying forever optimistic that we will return before the end of the school year!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Garceau

  • Buckets of Brain Games

    Funded Oct 2, 2019

Thank you so much for bringing our vision of buckets of brain games to life! All of the students have enjoyed trying out all of the new games and activities. Each morning the students enter our classroom excited to start their day working in small groups playing and experimenting with all the materials. They have all amazed me with their creativity and interest in trying out new games. The students are ready and motivated to get to work after having the opportunity to activate their minds! Thank you for enhancing our classroom with all of your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Garceau

Each morning my students enter our classroom at their very own learning ability. By providing these brain game bins, all levels of students will have the opportunity to begin their day on a positive note! They will give struggling students and students that arrive on later buses the opportunity to enter the classroom and start their day on a level playing ground. I love that these students will enter the classroom without the feeling anxiety over completing a worksheet they may find difficult for morning work. These activities will give them the time they need to get their brains warmed up and ready to go each morning. This will only provide more successes throughout the day!
