Funded Aug 10, 2022Thank you, thank you for your generous donation of sensory materials for our preschool classroom!
This year our class hosts 28 students. One-third of students have special needs and 1/4 speak English as a second language. These materials have brought joy, collaboration, and dialogue to our diverse population.
With your donated materials, students are able to create and serve ice cream to each other with scoops, cones, and kinetic sand. Groups gather around the large sensory bin to hunt for bugs or practice fine motor skills by sorting straws. Preschoolers also cooperate and engineer floating structures using the water table blocks.
Thank you again for touching the lives of our students with your generous donation. The best learning occurs through play. Thank you for helping to enrich our students' first school experience.
"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play IS serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."
