My students have difficulty engaging in classroom activities. Research supports the idea that students who have diagnosed differences such as ADHD and Autism benefit from the ability to move throughout the day. With these materials my students will be able to focus and engage more in their general education classes My students are bright, excitable individuals who have diagnosed learning differences. They need to have access to different learning modals and flexibility within the classroom. These materials will help my students to learn in a setting that is least restrictive. The use of the flexible seating in the form of the wobble chairs and wedges would allow my students to have movement within their classroom. The lap pads would help support the sensory differences that so many students with Autism experience. The pressure of that weighted pad allows them to calm down and to remain at the carpet during carpet time with their peers. In addition to those supports the ear muffs would support those students access PE and music class without getting overwhelmed by sudden noises. All of these materials listed will be used to support my 42 students access their curriculum. They deserve to be included with their peers and require some supports to be able to do that. They would benefit from these materials that support their sensory and learning differences and allow them to make academic and behavioral gains that I know they are capable of making
