    In our classroom reading is not an assignment; It is a daily habit. Like any skill a person can acquire, reading progresses with continued practice. One of the best ways to encourage engagement in reading is to provide books that students find relatable. Being able to offer students these options has had a tremendous impact on their reading lives.

    On behalf of myself and my students, I would like to thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. The books purchased with the funds have had a tremendous impact on the reading lives of my students.

    This impact will also continue with future students that will have the opportunity to read the books. It has made every difference in the world to my students to have books that they are excited to read. They come to class wanting extra time to enjoy their book.

    The books were used to provided additional options for students to select for books clubs. I must say, the discussions students had with each other were far beyond my expectations. They were thoughtful, engaged, passionate readers and group members. Thank you again for your help making teenagers excited about reading!”
