  • Getting Ready for FIELD DAY!

    Funded May 21, 2023

Thank you so much! I cannot wait to put my kids names on the back of their shirts so they can wear them for our first field day since Covid! The students have no idea they are getting these shirts, so I cannot wait to see their faces! They will be so surprised.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tobey

  • Hungry Times Call for Food Measures!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you so much for helping me fill my first graders bellies throughout our busy school day. Your generous donations will help make a 9:45 lunch time much more bearable. With your help, my class will be full and ready to succeed in reading, writing, math, science, and more!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tobey

  • In Need of a Kidney (Table)!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you for helping me provide my students with a kidney table! This table will be extremely beneficial when I am conducting small groups in math, reading, writing, and any other subject we teach throughout our school day. My students are very excited to have a table to lean on instead of sitting on the floor.”

  • Clear Learning, Fully Bellies, Can't Lose

    Funded Oct 15, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to my donors choose project. A 9:45am lunch is really hard for a bunch of 5, 6, and 7 year olds. With your donation, we are able to provide an afternoon snack that will keep their little bellies full and ready to learn for the rest of the school day. Working in a low income area, your donation helped my co teacher and I sneak little snacks into some of the children's backpacks for them to take home as well. We will continue to do as much as we can for our little learner's and your donations mean the world to us.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tobey

  • Heating Up Personalization

    Funded May 26, 2021

Thank you for helping us fund this project! We have already created two shirts types of shirts with our students-- tie dye and a 'goodbye first grade, hello second grade' one. Being able to make these shirts with our class during COVID-19 times where we have instructional lunches, gives our students a chance to be kids and participate in fun activities within the school building. In fact, these shirts that we used our cricut and heat press for, were fully designed by our first grade students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tobey

  • Personalized Books R Us!

    Funded May 19, 2021

When opening our package, of course the first thing out of our students' mouths were, "WHAT IS THIS?!" But when we took a piece of their writing and binded it together to make a book, the class was in awe. You could hear things like, "I'M AN AUTHOR!" "MY FIRST BOOK!" "THIS IS SO COOL!" The smiles in their faces were EVERYTHING, so with that being said, we cannot thank you enough for contributing to this project. Our hard working students turned into hard working writers with "published" books.”

    With gratitude,

  • Apple Pencil & Document Camera Connecting Students to Learning

    Funded May 10, 2020

I cannot even explain to you how badly I needed these materials for at home teaching during this crazy pandemic. Not realizing how long the stay at home order would last, I didn't think to take home a school document camera or any extra teaching materials that would last me the rest of the entire school year. The document camera allowed me to project my lessons to the students through google meets or zoom and the apple pencil allowed me to write directly on my iPad while sharing my screen for the rest of my class.”

  • Distraction Free Learning With Wireless Headphones

    Funded May 11, 2020

Wow. I cannot thank you enough for helping to fund my distraction free headphones. Teaching from home during a pandemic is NOT EASY! Especially when there are other people working from the same location as you. These wireless headphones allowed me to tune out the world around me and focus on the zoom lessons I needed to teach. Since the headphones are also wireless, it allowed me to freely move around or quickly get up without having to unplug the headphones and keep the flow of the online class moving smoothly.”

  • Comfortably Learning Financial Literacy

    Funded Mar 5, 2020

Thank you for helping my class and I fund out flexible seating project. When I first created this project, it was pre-pandemic, and I didn't realize how handy these seats would actually become. Due to COVID-19, all classroom rugs were taken out of the classrooms and stored away. These seats allow the students to comfortably sit on our tiled floors during mini lessons, small groups, and even during independent time. It also amazes me how well they take care of these seats! After every use, they take a wipe, and wipe them down for the next person. It is so nice to see that these little seats mean so much to them.”

We currently have both mathematic and reading programs that have applications on iPads that support student growth and learning. These applications are in mathematics, science, and literacy. The problem is, as a Title I school, we have no iPads. This is causing the students to be limited in their learning. Also, being in a low income area, our school is also the only environment where some children are even exposed to technology at all. I want these ipads to make sure my students are exposed to all they can be so they can live to their best potential now and forever.
