These Chromebooks will help level the playing field for my students with physical and learning disabilities and provide access to text for my intervention students. There are a number of Chrome extensions that will help students with various reading problems be better able to read and do research and writing. With more access comes better production and therefore better grades and less frustration. There are a number of tech resources that can be accessed through the use of the Chromebooks. One function is text to speech and another is speech to text. Another important add on is Mercury Reader, which separates out the important information on a website. OpenDyslexic Font can be used to help students with Dyslexia read easier. All of these and more can help my students overcome difficulties to be better students.
