  • Super Supplies for Sensational Students

    Funded Aug 24, 2020

This school year has seen many ups and downs already with school closures and reopenings. What has made the constant changes more bearable was knowing the students had the supplies they needed to continually engage in learning with hands-on materials. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and kindness in making this possible! The students wouldn't have been able to learn as much as they did in remote instruction without your gifts. Wishing you and your loved ones a very happy and healthy new year!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kwai

  • Celebrating Kindergarten Graduation/Moving Up

    Funded May 28, 2020

Thank you for your thoughtful donations in supporting this project. Thanks to you, my students were able to celebrate a virtual graduation together despite the challenges the pandemic presented us. In this past year, these students have certainly demonstrated how resilient they are by embracing remote learning with its advantages and challenges alike.

It meant so much for the students to celebrate the end of a very challenging year and be recognized for their accomplishments. They were incredibly thrilled when I dropped off their presents and wished them luck for the upcoming school year. The students were so excited, they weren't even concerned with the presents! Instead, they asked about their classmates, shared stories of learning at home, and requested to come back to school to see their friends.

Despite the doom and gloom the pandemic has brought upon us, it has also shown me that the genuine goodness children have doesn't disappear when they grow older. I know this because your generous donations are an example of such goodness. Thank you again and again for your kindness. Wishing you and your families stay healthy and safe.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kwai

This project will help give my students the best Kindergarten graduation and moving up ceremony... virtually! During the school year, my students have learned so much academically, socially, and emotionally. They've made friends in class and looked forward to learning together in groups. As a testament to their dedication and hard work, I want to show each child how their efforts and individual progress have not been forgotten. With your help, the children will be able to see how much they've grown in just one year and how significant it is to be moving on to the next grade in our virtual Kindergarten/Moving Up ceremony. The cap and gown would be given to my Kindergarten students to commemorate completing their first year of school and to celebrate their accomplishments from the year. Every child would be given a book, Only One You, with a message that encourages adapting to different situations while remaining true to their uniqueness. Back in school, my class loved molding and creating with play doh. They especially loved to make pizza, or spaghetti, or sandwiches from scratch. The students would be thrilled to receive a play doh set of their own to create their own "foods." Thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness to consider my project. Your donation today will allow these children's Graduation and Moving Up ceremony be truly special and exciting!
