Many of them lost family members or had family members who were unable to work/ lost their jobs. These basic supplies enabled all my students to have the materials they needed to succeed both when we were able to actually be in the building and when they needed to work on their own at home. Print is everywhere! My goal this year is to weave literacy in all areas of my content area of Social Studies. I am currently trying to develop a curriculum that will both meet the needs of all the levels in my classroom while engaging their interest as well. Aside from the classroom library that I hope you will help me create, I am also planning on supporting my weaker students to plug in their decoding and comprehension gaps with the Wilson Program. In addition I am developing lessons that incorporate different modalities including hands-on projects and technology. The ultimate goal is to create a safe environment where students feel successful in order to create life-long learners and ultimately leaders.
