All elementary students need to learn about vermicomposting (worm composting). Helping our environment is part of the curriculum at every grade level. I plan to teach my students about vermi-composting and how easy it is to do. I would like to set up a vermi composting station in our elementary school where scraps from our cafeteria can be composted and then eventually added to our school garden. Your donation will be used to purchase a vermi composting bin that will be used by all elementary staff and students. Fruits and vegetables are the best things to add to the bin, so I'm also hoping this increases the amount of fruits and vegetables that are eaten. It's easy, it's educational, and it's good for our environment!
