One valuable tool that supports my teaching style is using Technology. For example, using the Epson VS355 WXGA 3LCD Projector. While utilizing the projector in my class, students can talk about and collaborate on lessons. I encourage them to take risks and do what they want, and what they come up with is pretty amazing. Many technology-based teaching methods and resources effectively engage students and build their skills. I can encounter difficulties in holding the attention of some students when using non-technology based learning in the classroom. There are also many ways I would use the Document Digital Camera. Brainstorming, for example, I would use the projector and document camera to help design the lesson for my students. This would allow me to project the lesson on the classroom wall, so that everyone can see it as a visual aid, and make it easier for the students to follow along. Also, I will work with my students to brainstorm ideas as a way to reinforce lessons or launch a problem-based learning exercise. The Document Digital Camera and Epson projector will be utilized to enable students to share their own work with the class by placing it on the Document Digital Camera. Students can teach the class using the projector to work through Health and FACS questions. The projector can be hooked up to a computer to show interactive PowerPoint presentations, health and FACS images, videos, and to connect students to innovative Health and FACS websites to bring the world of leaning to life.
