  • Let's Fly Away

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

We are incredibly grateful for your generous donation that helped us provide a iPad for our students. Your support is making a meaningful impact by giving students new ways to engage with learning especially as they explore the fascinating world or aviation.

With this technology our students can interact with flight simulations, watch educational videos, and use interactive apps that bring aviation to life in ways that are both accessible and exciting. Your generosity is opening doors to new learning opportunities, and we can't thank you enough for making this possible.”

  • Calming Corner

    Funded Mar 28, 2024

I want to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation to our social-emotional calming for our students. Your support has made an incredible difference. The calming corner has become a sanctuary for many students, providing them with a safe space to manage their emotions and reduce stress. Thanks to your generosity we have been able to equip the corner with comfortable seating, sensory tools, and calming activities that promote emotional regulation and mental well-being.

Once again, thank you for your kindness and support. You are making a significant difference in the lives of our students.”

  • Circle Time Is The Best Time

    Funded Dec 30, 2023

Thank you for taking an interest in my classroom and for your generous donations! I'm excited as my classroom this year will benefit from it as well as future classes. Our classroom looks more inviting and student-centered. Everything I need for circle time is visible, easy to use, durable, and all in one place. Now I can make sure I incorporate rhyming daily which wasn't easy before. Also counting, days of the week, weather, and colors all in one place! Thank you again for all that you have done to make this project possible!”

  • Wanted: Art Supplies Needed to Make Us More Creative

    Funded Dec 21, 2018

Thank you for your generous donations of art supplies to our classroom. The children love to create beautiful masterpieces and display them for all to see. They take such pride in their work.

Our students have brightened up the classroom with radiant paintings and dot drawings. This also helps with developing their fine motor control. The modeling foam is great for my students to use when they need a sensory break in the day.

We are so grateful for these much needed items. This would not be possible without your help!”

  • It Stinks to Have no Ink

    Funded Dec 21, 2018

Words cannot express how thankful we are for your generous donations to our classroom of printer ink, velcro, and laminating paper. As you can tell from the pictures, my students are enjoying it all.

My students have difficulty transitioning throughout the day. With our supplies we have now we were able to create a visual schedule to help them. It amazes me how much better they follow the routine when they can visually see the next activity we are doing. Some of our students have difficulty verbally communicating their wants and needs to us. We were able to print out interactive communication books. Now we can assess their understanding of what was taught with the lesson by having them match pictures to sentences. The velcro and laminating paper helped us with this skill. Some of our students have difficulty writing and typing their thoughts on the computer is easier for them. Now their stories can come to life with our printer ink.

If it was not for generous donors like you none of this would be possible. We are forever grateful for these gifts.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schmitt

This classroom project was brought to life by Perry and Donna Golkin Family Foundation and 3 other donors.
Some of my students are nonverbal and can only express themselves by using gestures, pointing, or putting things on paper. My students like to express themselves and even put it in book form. Why not give them the opportunity to express themselves and be creative at the same time? To do these types of projects we need the requested HP printer color and black ink cartridges, laminating paper, and velcro. My students love putting things down on paper. Having a supply of printer ink will give them the opportunity to express themselves and be creative at the same time. Their words could come to life. Not only could the words come to life, but they would be able to print out their words and pictures, laminate them, and velcro them to their books to share with their family and peers.
