  • Year of the Yearbook

    Funded Sep 30, 2023

I cannot express my gratitude enough for your help in fully funding this project. We now have a Culture and Climate Group in our school that includes putting together a yearbook as one of our goals.

Most importantly, there are a few students who are helping me take pictures. One of them have said to me today, "You know, I really didn't care that much about cameras until I met you." When I heard these words, it further confirmed that I have a purpose for being a teacher in front of these students.

You donors have helped me to introduce a lifelong skill to students from a low income neighborhood such as Brownsville, Brooklyn that is high in poverty and crime. I can' thank you enough. These are just understatements of how I feel and howq the students feel.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Kendrick

Once again, you are pillars to society. I thank each and every one of you for your donation and your willingness to make a difference to give children an opportunity to invest in a possible future. I wish you the best in whatever endeavors you pursue for yourselves. Once again I thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Kendrick

  • Lights Camera Action (Alternative)

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Once again, you have made a contribution to society. By funding this project, you have opened a whole new Avenue of opportunities for children as young as 8-10 years old to not only become content creators but content creators for their school community. You have planted a powerful seed and I am hoping you all be greatly rewarded for all of your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Kendrick

How is music made today? The answer is technology. The students of P140K in Brooklyn, NY are being exposed to technology. One of the aspects of technology that will excite them is the technology of music and how it's created. We are looking at potential tech musicians. All they need is to be provided with the right tools. With these tools, students can collaborate to conduct STEAM projects. It is also a way for students to be able to express themselves as music can be an additional way of providing some type of therapy for students. There is also lots of exposure to math which can benefit special education students who may function at lower grade levels. My contribution of music/piano knowledge can will give these students the opportunity to be able to produce music of their choice, use music to express themselves, as well as create mini scores for performances.
