My students love to learn through experiences that connect them with science. With over 140 students planning labs and hands-on activities can be challenging and costly. The paper circuit cards will be designed by students using copper tape, 3 volt battery, and LED lights on card stock. Every student will complete their cards and present them to the districtwide annual STEAM Expo in the Spring. My students will continue their learning experience by teaching younger students, who attend the STEAM Expo, how to create their own paper circuits. For some students, using Snap Circuits will allow them to investigate how parallel and series circuits work and how alternative forms of energy can be used. These kits will support their learning electricity during their design process. Also, every year other students will investigate how electricity and circuits work through these kits.
