  • Little Ears Listening Center

    A few months ago you made a donation to my listening ears project. Your generosity has allowed my class to listen to books read aloud in English and Spanish. We received MP3 players and have used them by adding recordings of books. The children smile with delight when they hear a familiar voice reading a classic story. Once they become readers, they will be able to record their voices!

    I am sure that you remember listening to your favorite story over and over again. Now, the children in my classroom can have that same experience. Thank you.”

  • Kindergarten Explorers!

    Thank you for supporting my project and helping my students become scientists. My students were so excited when we received the books and supplies for our Kindergarten Explorers unit. We received magnets, rocks, plastic toys, metal scraps and a variety of books about the different properties.

    Each student chose a property to become an expert in. The options were rocks, metal, plastic, wood and fabric. In their small groups they conducted experiments with the materials and conducted research. They discovered what materials float and sink. They experimented with magnets. They read about how plastic is made, about different kinds of rocks and how lamb's wool can me made into clothing!
