Our students create authentic products to demonstrate knowledge. During our Waste Management Unit, the color printer will help students create professional-looking brochures to accompany their upcycle prototypes -- items created from trash to serve an artistic or practical purpose. Later in the year, students will use the printers to make advocacy products for a unit called "Think Globally, Problem-solve Locally, Act Neighborly." For their final project, students create professional classroom materials to support an interdisciplinary lesson they have designed to share with a nearby middle school. Access to a printer on campus creates equity, since not all of my students have access to wifi or technology at home. Through school-issued Chromebooks, students create amazing products. This printer will help us share their work with peers and community members.
