Our students love hands on learning, as well as being able collaborate and be creative. My colleges and I have designed a project in collaboration with our art teacher where students have the ability to combine the standards in science, art education, and technology. They will make a painting in art class, and then in their general education science class they will be creating electrical circuits to light up their artwork. However, the materials to do this project are beyond our grade level budget. We will be using LED mini light bulbs, conductive adhesive copper tape, batteries, and a soldering iron (to help adhere the connection with the lights and the copper tape). Your generous donation to to our painted paper circuits will give children access to hands-on learning, as well as a final project they can take home and keep forever. With these materials, the students will first plan out an electrical circuit with on the back of their artwork, and then create it with the materials listed above illuminating their painting! Children are often more engaged and successful when their learning is relative, tangible, and constructive. The painted paper circuit project is all of those things! Our students will be thrilled to have the opportunity to take their learning to the next level by applying their knowledge to a real-life circuit building project! Thank you for your donation to our students!
