These iPads will help my nonverbal students to express their wants and needs. It will also allow them to interact with their general education peers and teachers. Using technology will allow my nonverbal and low-verbal students build relationships with their grade level peers and open doors for them that might otherwise be closed. There are many programs available for use with iPads. Because I work with K-8 students, the iPads will allow me to personalize instruction for a wide variety of student needs. iPads are particularly user-friendly and because some of my students are visually-impaired as well, the ability to enlarge the screen is especially useful.

About my class
