I've been reading my new Number Talks books and am thoroughly enjoying the skills I am learning! It will take me a bit of time to finish the books completely, but already I am using some of the skills I'm learning during my small group instruction.
The books allow me to think outside the box and teach my students a variety of strategies for solving math problems. Already I've seen improvement as students decide which strategies work best for them - and which strategies don't. During our small group instruction, we spend more time talking about numbers, which is exactly what I was hoping for!

Our sixth-grade students are eager to learn about science and they want engaging, interactive lessons that will allow them to see real-life examples of the scientific topics about which they are learning. Nearpod is a student engagement platform that can be used to enhance the learning experience in the classroom.
