Years of inadequate funding combined with a growing program has created an unfortunate situation for my students. We lack quality, properly-working instruments for the students to play. Some of my students who play larger instruments, like euphonium and tuba, are not able to practice outside of school due to instrument shortage. Most of my students come from low income homes where purchasing their own instrument is simply not an option. My students are passionate about music, they value the opportunity that music education provides, and they deserve nothing less than a good quality, working instrument to help them make the most of their education!
