We are doing construction right now, and we are about to move onto proofs. I can buy two of these on my budget for kids who really cannot afford them, but they cannot use their calculators on their phones on their Regents. They will fail without a graphing calculator. This school is dedicated to equity and culturally responsive teaching as well as rigorous evidence-based instruction. We are only able to accept 6 percent of the students who wish to come here, but that doesn't mean our student body is well-off financially. We are asking for your help so that we can get these kids passing their Regents and on to the next phase of their lives--medicine and law. I am proud to be a teacher of such great kids. We will use them as class calculators and as test calculators. We won't be sending them home.
