We are so hopeful that people will help us get headphones! Students access both Lexia, an early literacy program that helps students practice foundational reading skills, sight words, and spelling, and iReady, which gives them daily practice at their own skill level in math.
These computer programs are fun and interactive computer programs with voices, games, and lots of sound effects so students need working headphones to use them!
We also use our computers to access online read alouds (especially for our newcomer EL students who can't yet read English) and to read eBooks from our ELA curriculum. All of these wonderful resources require headphones and it's becoming very difficult to use our computers as the earbuds we have continue to break daily.
We are requesting 85 headphones so we can provide a new set to each student in 3rd grade. We are so incredibly grateful for any support to meet this goal as soon as possible and thanks for taking time to read about our project! Thanks! Gracias! Tashakur!
