My students who cannot afford to purchase calculators will have access to technology that will help them delve into more difficult problem solving. I am asking for TI-34 calculators. This will help my students by enabling them to get past the computation blockade and explore their ideas. I chose this calculator specifically because it of it's user-friendly interface from "math-print". It makes computation with fraction and exponents much more simple by displaying it accurately. Many of my students get frustrated by computation, and it stops them from exploring their ideas. This technology will help them try whatever creative strategy they can come up with and test its validity.
