  • Our Musicians Need a Tune Up!

    Thank you so much for support our students and their musical journey. With the donation of the tuners, our band students have incorporated them into our rehearsals to help our overall sound quality and tonality of our ensemble. We sound better, we play better together, and the understanding of how good quality music can be achieved is more possible with the access to the tuners.

    We have used the tuners many times, in particular when we were doing a professional recording. We used the tuners to help make sure we were in tune so we could get a good recording of our pieces. Students have also been using them to discover how to achieve a good quality sound through breath support and correct embouchure/stick grip through the use of the tuners.

    When we first got the box with the tuners and mics, the students were astounded and surprised. They were completely full of gratitude and were eager to use them immediately. When we finally got them organized, students have been using them at each rehearsal to best prepare them for a good practice and performance.

    We have a huge endeavor in our program coming soon. We will be working on getting new marching band uniforms for our 2021-2022 school year in preparation for our 100 year anniversary. We are constantly growing and building from behind, and we really appreciate the support that people have shown us.”

In order for our students to be successful in our piano classes, we are looking to add headphones to use with our digital pianos. We were blessed to be able to purchase 25 Casio PX-160 digital pianos a few years ago, but now we are looking to enhance the education experience of our students by adding headphones. Students have mentioned how difficult it is to focus on their classwork and practice time when they can hear other people practicing due to the amount of noise produced in our rehearsal space. With the purchase of these headphones, we will be able to alleviate that stress and help them to develop their musical skills in a more efficient way. We want our students to be successful, and this is one way to support that vision. It is all about making sure that our students are successful, in particular our students that require extra resources and time to get their work done. With your support, we can support all of our students from many skill levels to become amazing musicians and young adults.

About my class
