    Our students love the items we have received!! Our couch has given us an area that we can sit and communicate expectations and strategies to improve our learning. Students love to get a book and relax while reading. Our filler for Big Joe chairs has given us a more comfortable and sturdy seating while in reading centers. We love the different levels and variety of reading materials we now have available so all students have books on their level to challenge and meet their reading needs. As a 2nd grade teacher, I strongly believe in Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader because my students are our future. They need reading and comprehension, as well communication skills to excel in everyday tasks. Your donations are greatly appreciated.”

  • A Space Out of This World!

    My students love their new reading area! It is easy for them to get comfortable and engage with characters in their books. It is a spot that students love being in during reading centers.

    When my students first saw the materials, they were very excited to try it out. After learning the rules and guidelines, they have done very well working with their partners, staying on task, and engaging in reading materials.

  • Cursive Writers

    Thank you so much for your generosity! My students and I were so excited to receive our cursive handwriting books. Everyday we are practicing a new letter and showing so much progress! My students are amazed at how much better they have become at writing their name in cursive and creating their very own signature!

    Many students speak of how they are even teaching their parents how to write in cursive. When a child is able to teach their parents something, I know we are truly making a difference.

  • A Love for Books and Knowledge!

    My class and I have such a great appreciation for your contributions! In 2nd grade, we are reading to learn. The books that you have helped to purchase has had a huge impact on our reading and vocabulary skills. Junie B Jones book collections are books that we can all relate to and have a good laugh. It helps students build a true love for reading!

    Our Magic Tree House books allows kids to visit far away places and history without ever leaving the classroom. Their imaginations and sensory skills are quickly engulfed in the text. When students read text they enjoy, their comprehension skills show so much progress.

  • "We Have a Way with Math"

    I want to start by saying a great "Thank You" for helping support us in our learning adventure! The smile on my students' faces when they opened their materials is beyond description. Many of my students are from low-income homes, so for them to know someone cares about them enough to help with their education, speaks volumes!

    This would not have been made possible without your help. As you know, our county was hit with a devastating hurricane in September. We lost 5 weeks of instruction time. We have been struggling to get back on track since we returned. This delay has caused a set-back with our school funding. Many students were without books or actual Reading and Math materials. But with your help, we are able to catch up a little more each day.

    Every morning, our students open their Daily Math Journals and immediately begin working as diligently as they can. We use our materials as review for skills recently taught, and as an opener for material we will learn in the coming weeks. They love celebrating when they get an answer correct, and that pushes them to continue focusing and getting answers correct.

    Even though the hurricane put a delay in our instruction, it did not take our Hope, our Pride, and Love for Learning. You have done something to have a huge affect on the future of our country. And for that, I am truly grateful!”

Many of our students love math time, students can take out their journals and work as they please, feeling success with every problem they answer correctly. Hands-on learning is number one in our school, these journals will help support that concept. Being able to physically work through their problems and look back when they need help will be a tremendous asset.
