Their Are a Minion Ways to Learn
Funded Feb 20, 2019Because of your thoughtfulness my students were able to have a successful school year. Everything kids do nowadays involve some form of technology. By having the laptops accessible each student was able to maximize their full potential in the classroom.
Many of the students I teach struggle with reading on grade level and basic comprehension skills. They require read aloud and audio on most assignments. Before receiving the items funding through this project I had to read to them. Once we received the laptops we were able to download programs such as Natural readers which would read aloud to the students.
We are also grateful for the classroom library. The students really enjoyed them. Especially the book called Middle School because they were able to watch the movie after we finished the book. The students used the dry erase boards and markers for stations. They used them to jot down answers and to keep up with their score when using iXL. iXL is an interactive computer program that has questions to reinforce the standards taught in class.
Your kindness has really helped all my students make strides and I believe they will continue to make progress because of you.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Ellison-Holliday
