These books will help me create a mirror of my students where they can connect with the characters in the book and grow their love for learning. These books will also help introduce students to different cultures which will help them to become more culturally responsive. I have also picked out books to help teach lessons about empathy and kindness. These books will help my students see that it is ok to be different than others around them and that it is important to accept everybody. It is very important to me to create a classroom library that is diverse and meets my students needs.
